The vision of Rolleston Rugby League Club aspires to the collective success of whānau and our community. We envision fielding teams throughout all grades, increasing memberships and Manaakitanga within the community. We also envisage that Rugby League will be the chosen sport for whānau within the Selwyn District.

Ko Te Uaratanga - Our Mission

The Rolleston Rugby League Club is committed to providing, managing, developing and promoting the sport of Rugby League at all levels of play. We are committed to educating our members and community on the values of fair play and good sportsmanship through Ngākau Pono (Integrity), Kaiārahi (mentoring), Kotahitanga (unity) and mahi tahi (teamwork). We will provide opportunities to educate our members about Smokefree, Are You OK campaign, mental health awareness and youth development. We will endeavour to provide opportunities and/or pathways for all its players to succeed within the sport of Rugby League and Life.

Rolleston Ruby League club endeavours to be guided by our vision, mission, values and culture. We are committed to valuing diversity and inclusion both on and off the field. RRLC fosters an environment that supports mauri ora (healthy individuals), whānau ora (healthy families) and wai ora (healthy environments).

Our Culture

Rolleston Rugby League Club adopts a bicultural approach as a foundation to build upon and develop a stronger diversity within the Selwyn district and tangata whenua within our community.

Whanaungatanga –RRLC adopts whanaungatanga as a foundation to encourage positive relationships with strong ties between whānau and communities through their participation within our sporting community.

Manaakitanga - caring, respectful, whānau environment of warmth, trust and aroha. Kotahitanga - refers to unity, togetherness, solidarity and collective action.

Ako – is about learning and teaching, it identifies every coach as a learner and every learner as a coach. Within the RRLC we strive to teach our tamariki and rangatahi the fundamentals of rugby league as well as develop our volunteer’s knowledge of rugby league development through coaching development courses.
