Once you have submitted your registration form, you must pay your netball fees. This can be paid either online into the school account or to the office where you can pay with cash or eftpos.

Fees are due before the first game is played. We have a no pay, no play policy. Uniforms will not be issued to any player until her fees are paid. Arrangements can be made pay this in instalments, please contact the Accounts Department to organise this.
Fees per player for 2024 are:
School Bank Account: 15 3942 0004789 01 Particulars: Player initials and Surname Reference: Netball
Uniform Bond
Every student new to the school must pay a $40 uniform bond. The bond is a one off payment to cover your daughter for every sport that she participates in during her time at the school.
Provided that all issued uniform is returned at the end of the season, this bond will be returned when the student leaves the school.
If you paid a uniform bond last year you need not pay again unless your bond was forfeited. You would have been advised if this occurred.
If your bond was forfeited, please pay again. Uniform will not be issued until this bond is paid.
Trials
Trials are now underway. Please check Teams, daily notices and the event centre notice board regularly for updates, as dates and times sometimes change. Further trials will be held as needed.
Social Teams
Players are most welcome to organise their own team.
To do this they need to get a Netball Team Sheet Form from outside the Sports Office. They can list their preferred team mates/friends on this form. Even if they do not have a full team, we ask that they still use this form as they will be placed in a team with their listed friends.
Please note, even if choosing this option, players must still register individually using this sporty site.
Uniform and Equipment
Every item has a unique stocktake number that will be recorded upon issue. Ensure that the item issued to your child is the item that is returned at the end of the season. You cannot swap gear or get it mixed up with team mates as you are responsible for returning the item issued to your child (like a library book - your issued item is your responsiblity). Unfortunately, you will be charged for lost items.
Communication
Coaches and Managers
If you are interested in coaching or managing, please let us know. We need coaches in order to have a successful season.
We provide a selection of coaching resources that will assist with practices and games and can offer coaching courses to those who would like them.
We welcome student coaches and will assist them in their coaching role should they choose to undertake that challenge.
We also welcome older siblings, other family members or suitable friends as coaches.
Sponsorship
With over 300 girls playing netball, we regularly need uniform updates and replacements.
If you or your business are able to purchase a set of uniforms we would be extremely grateful. Should you choose to sponsor a team, we can assure you that these will be worn by whatever team your daughter is in for the time that she plays netball at SHGC.

Season Dates
Pre-season Tournament
If you would like to enter your team, advise Mrs Yates and pay the team fee to Student Services.
Tournament Dates:
Umpiring
Every team is required to register an umpire.
All umpires must have sat and passed the on-line theory test on the Netball Taranaki website to meet regulations and attend a workshop.
If you are already a registered umpire and you would like to umpire this season, please let Mrs Yates know.
Failure to supply an umpire or using an unregistered umpire may incur a $150 fine by Netball Taranaki which the team is accountable for.
We have a group of school umpires in our Umpiring Club. These girls will be assigned to your team to umpire if needed. Student umpires are paid $10 per game. Teams must ensure this is paid immediately after each game.
If you would like to learn to umpire, we will be running courses through the school later this term. Watch out for notices about these courses.
Duties
Throughout the season teams may be required to do a team duty. It is expected that everyone will help with their team duty.
