2026 Winter Netball

Oxford Crescent School enters teams from Year 3 to Year 6 and we encourage both girls and boys to participate.

We play in the competition run by the Upper Hutt Junior Netball Club Inc.Games are played on Saturdays between 8.30am and 2.30pm at Heretaunga College netball courts.

Fees for this season are $65 per player plus cash umpire costs to your manager

Please enroll online and return your payment by Tuesday 31st March 2026. Payment of fee upon enrollment secures your child a place in a team.  We are only allowed a max of 10 in a team so places are limited.

Year 1/2 FUTURE FERNS NETBALL 2026 - TERM 4

• Year 1-2 futureFERNS​​​​​​​ introduces Netball to 5-6 year olds. The aim is to develop fundamental movement and basic Netball skills.  The 4 v 4 game format allows players to pass, catch and shoot from day one.
• Year 3-4 futureFERNS is as above but Format is 5 v 5 (2A, 1C, 2D) played over two thirds of a netball court. 

This programme is held outdoors at the Taita Netball Courts by Netball Hutt Valley and played for six weeks on Saturday mornings in Term 1.  Rounds start from 9am. This is completely dependent on Parental Support.  No practices are required at school.

If there is enough interest for Year 3 and Year 4 players we could look at entering a team for this age group in term 4,  Please email Tania on sports@oxfordcres.school.nz to discuss.  Traditionally we only enter Year 1 and 2 since Year 3 upwards play in the Winter Competition at Upper Hutt Junior Netball.
