The South Canterbury Rugby Referees have a strong and proud record of service to rugby in South Canterbury and New Zealand. We have seen two test referees, Colin Hawke and Dave Bishop, come from the province, while another, Tim Gresson, has held office at International Rugby Board (IRB) and Rugby World Cup level.
Since South Canterbury Rugby Referees held their first meeting in May 1901 the Association has produced some very fine referees, who have carried the South Canterbury name to great places and great heights.
The SCRRA clubrooms are situated in the Speights' Lounge, Alpine Energy Stadium, Timaru. The clubrooms are the base for meetings, training programmes and socials.
The South Canterbury Rugby Referees Association is always looking for more people to take up refereeing. If you are considering becoming a referee, check out the Become a Ref pages on our website.
