AGM held Saturday 23 May 2026

What a success! I don't believe any other club would have such impressive numbers attend their AGM.  There must have been more than half the club members at the meeting, more than 50.  The meeting was followed by prizegiving and then a very tasty lunch supplied by all our attendees.  Thank you all.

A highlight of the afternoon was the naming of a new Life Member - John Hanson.  John has been a member for many years and, in his 90's, is still a very competitive player.  There wouldn't be many of us who have beaten or could beat John in a singles game.  John continues to be a very supportive member of our club and being made a Life Member is a well deserved honour.  Thank you John.

We had two members who were honoured as "Unsung Heros".  Joan & Peter Dooly are our afternoon stalwarts,  they organise afternoon play week in week out.  Over the years Peter & Joan have done numerous tasks around the  club that go unheralded and they also deserve their honour.  Thank you Joan & Peter.

Congratulations

Calendar

See the Calendar on the menu above for everything that is happening in the club from now until the end of May 2026.

Visitors

Visiting players are welcome, please refer to our playing times.  We have a large membership and accordingly we restrict the times visitors may play.  At St Heliers we play only Golf Croquet and the cost is $10 per session and you must play with a club member.   We normally play 2 games per session with a cup of tea between the games.  If you don't have your mallet with you we are happy to lend you one. Although stated above that we have 3 playing lawns we only have 2 full lawns, one of which we split to provide us with 2 smaller lawns, 3 playing lawns in total.

Prospective Members

As at 1/11/2025

Unfortunately we have a full membership and a waiting list on pause. Sorry to say for those on the waiting list it may take longer than expected for you to be contacted to begin the membership process.  Please keep an eye on this website for any change to our situation.

Visiting with a club member does not allow you the right to be put on the waiting list for membership.

The above information may sound harsh but we have a genuine problem with limited lawns and so many people hearing of the fun we have playing golf croquet and wanting to learn.
