South Canterbury Racing Club - Next Meet
NZTR has recently updated and confirmed its current Venue Plan which creates a network of venues for thoroughbred racing through to the end of the 2028/2029 racing season.
As a result, it confirms that NZTR thoroughbred racing has committed to continue to race at Timaru, with the next Venue Plan review to be held in February 2029.
For the 2025/2026 racing season there is thoroughbred racing scheduled at Phar Lap Raceway on Sunday 7th September – Celebrating Grey Way, Wednesday 24th September – Spring Meeting, Sunday 5th October – Phar Lap – 99 and counting, Wednesday 19th November – Cup Week Recovery and Sunday 28th December – Family Fun Day. Plus Waimate Racing Club will race Sunday 7th June 2026
