Gore Cross-Country​​​​​​​

Venue:
The 71st Gore Cross Country will be held at Hamilton Park, Gore.

Race start time: 
2:00 pm. Arrive early to check in and walk the course!

This is a free event hosted and run by Gore Harriers.

A fantastic event that includes fence jumps, hay bales, and sometimes a little bit of mud.

Age grades and trophy eligibility:

Under 20, Seniors and Masters who are registered to a Southaland Athletics Club will be eligible to win trophies. All other runners who place in the first three of their respective age grade will recieve certficates. Under 18 age group runners can run in the main race with Under 20's, Seniors and Masters but are not eligible for trophies.

Age grades are taken as at 31st of December 2026. Example Alex turns 14 on the 5th of September he will run in the under 16 age group. Masters is age on the day. 

All runners must race in their respective age grade. No exceptions.

Distances:

Under 10 and Under 12 - 2kms

Under 14 and Under 16 - 4kms

Under 18, Under 20, Seniors and Masters - 5.4km

Afternoon tea:
(Some say this is the best part of the day!), and prize giving and spot prizes follow the event.
