JOIN OUR TEAM

Rugby needs referees and whether your ambitions are to help out in Primary School grades or become Southland's next International referee, we want to hear from you.

Refereeing rugby is a great way to give something back to the game, and if you are ambitious there is a career pathway for referees, just like players and coaches.

Referees can elect to referee at their chosen level, or attempt to reach the highest levels of club and representative rugby.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

Like players, referees are assigned coaches to help them to develop, so when you join you won't be on your own. We host training and development meetings every Thursday in Invercargill and fortnightly on Tuesday's in Gore, as well as weekly fitness trainings. These are great to get to know and learn from other referees and sit down with your coach.

FLEXIBILITY

Want to start off on the sideline as an Assistant Referee or worried about work clashes? No worries. Let us know what works for you, even if you are only available on week days or every second week we would love to have you join.
