The Speedway New Zealand Board Of Directors on the 16th July 2016 agreed to the following course of action: That the blanket dispensation be extended to the 2016/17 season, that all previous vehicles compliant with the previous interpretation of the rule be able to compete and any proposals around numbers be submitted as remits for the 2017 AGM. 

Note: Numbers cannot contain letters or graphics and must be clearly legible in the opinion of the track referee and Chief Lap Scorer. 

 T7-1 Every race vehicle must carry racing numbers to clearly identify the competitor to officials, spectators and other competitors.

T7-1-1 Definition: The racing number is defined as the one-colour numeral/s, the track letter code and the one-colour border immediately adjacent to the numbers and track code.

T7-1-2 Racing number and track code specifications are as per the Technical regulations of the relevant class.
