​​​​​​​Our programme has always been based on a growth mindset, high performance and most importantly making good respectful STC men out of our boys. Through commitment, hard work and dedication the boys will build resilience and find a sense of belonging that will eventuate into the STC Brotherhood.

We are blessed to have a great number of staff and parents who sacrifice their time to coach, manage and support our boys. We have some exceptional coaches including NZ Schools coach and current teacher Kieran Coll, Ex super rugby player Ged Robinson and Otago academy and skills coach Craig Sneddon.

We also have a strong relationship with the Bachelor of Sport programme at the Universtiy of Canterbury.

We offer the opportunity for our young men to represent STC through teams ranging from Junior Rugby (Years 9&10), weighted rugby all the to Senior Rugby including 1st XV.

We look forward to another fantastic winter of rugby in 2025 - please support our boys positively and respect all oppostion. Remember it is just a game!

2026 Season Dates and fees


Uniform/Subs


1st XV = $750 inc all away trips in season

2nd XV   $450 inc all away trips in season

All other grades = $180  includes shell jacket

*SPC exchange is in Auckland this year. If your son is invited to attend this exchange match the trip will be $395. This team is made within a week of the trip to allow as much opportunity for all boys to participate. We understand the quick turn around for payment for this trip so if needed please touch base with Jackie to arange a payment plan.
