• Trials will be held between 7th and 28th February 2026. Every training session will be a trial for the Regional Team.
• Regionals will be a trial for the National team.
• No student is guaranteed a spot for Regional or Nationals
• All students need to have 90% attendance at school.

OCTOBER - DECEMBER 2025

• Training starts Saturday, 4th October 2025
• Land-based sessions TBC
• Water-based session TBC (weather dependent).

TERM 1 2026:

• Culture session / Intro to Waka Ama held on 14th February from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the school in the Blake gym.
• Likely to be three water-based training sessions per week- Training days TBC
• Every effort will be made to avoid clashes with other sports; however, game days take preference over training. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Students are to make their way to training. However, every effort will be made to secure a school van. Note that arrangements will be made for Boarders during the week, but they will need to make their way during the weekend. 
• Parent help will be required in transporting and monitoring the boys near the water. If volunteers are not forthcoming, then a parent roster will be established

• Paddlers need to purchase a Waka Ama singlet
• Each athlete is to provide their own Navy Blue PE shorts 

Ordering Uniform

• When you register for Waka Ama, you can order your own customised singlet.
• Singlets are $60.00.
• ​​​​​​​Navy Blue PE shorts are $40.00

• Note there is a 6-8 week delay in receiving your top or pants once the order has been placed with our supplier.
