Te Awamutu Hockey fields Mens and Womens teams across all grades of the Waikato Hockey Association Senior competition. We welcome new players of all ages and work hard to maintain a friendly yet competitive club atmosphere.

ABOUT US

Te Awamutu Hockey strives to balance a strong 'family' feel within its competitive club environment. We particularly pride ourselves on developing younger players, alongside our experienced older ones.

Despite its name Te Awamutu Hockey draws its membership from all over Hamilton, as well as the greater Waikato and Waipa regions. Established in 1990 when parent body Te Awamutu Sports was formed, the introduction of artificial turfs at Innes Common meant all club trainings and games moved to Hamilton.

Hence the club is essentially Hamilton based, and has subsequently grown to become one of the larger successful hockey clubs in the Waikato region.
