Committee Job Descriptions

President:

The President chairs each committee meeting (usually held approximately 4 times a year or when necessary). The President is also a contact point for Netball South, Netball New Zealand, and any other outside organisations. The President will also deal with complaints or issues as they arise in conjunction with the committee. The President will deliver the committees decision to the people concerned. Oversee committee and allocated roles and responsibilities. Work alongside the treasurer to ensure financial responsibilities are adhered to, co-sign all transactions. Oversee prizegiving and allocation of roles for this event.


Vice President:

The Vice President supports the President and is available to chair committee meetings should the president be unavailable. They will support any complaints procedures alongside the President. May be required to Co-sign all financial accounts with president and Treasurer. Oversee and support in the running of committee programs and roles and responsibilities. Support in the overseeing of prizegiving and the allocation of roles for this

event.


Secretary:

This position involves recording meeting minutes and ensuring these are distributed to all on the committee. Notification of meetings.


Treasurer:

This position oversees and maintains all the financial affairs as well as keeping financial records, invoicing schools for netball fees and making any payments required during the season for optimal running of the club. A yearly review is required and to be arranged by the Treasurer by an approved Accountant, report all findings back to the committee.

A treasurers report is to be given at each Committee meeting outlining financials.


Cancellations Coordinator:

Assess with President and Vice President and make calls that adhere to the health and safety of all travelling to and from as well as during their games at TPJN. Make calls to cancel, postpone, delay Saturday netball and ensure that this is communicated to all committee members to contact their teams and recorded on the website. Use relevant and reliable weather reports to make these calls.


Website/Sporty/Facebook organiser:

This organiser is in charge of delivering and maintaining communications to the community.


Draw Coordinator:

Complete a draw of games for the Year 3/4s, 5/6s, and 7/8s via SPORTY WEBSITE. Year 7&8 only: ENTER SCORES.


Umpiring Coordinator:

The Umpiring Coordinator contacts umpiring officials to organise workshops (may include student programmes)


Coaching coordinator:

The Coaching Coordinator will source and provide support programmes through Netball South to upskill all coaches to equip them with skills to support their growth.


Health and Safety Coordinator / First Aid Officer:

Support Cancellations Coordinator to ensure responsible practice. Ensure basic first aid needs are met at events and during Saturday Netball. Report any incidents of concern to the committee.


Development Officer:

To organise and support the skill level of the players on the Taieri.



Year 1-2 Coordinator:

Take registrations for children aged Year 1-2 from all participating schools. Allocate them to sessions. Organise and ensure adequate equipment for each session and venue (ITC) use throughout the programme. Organise certificates for the final session to be handed to participants.


Year 3-4 Coordinator:

Be the first point of contact for supporting schools for their age groups.


Year 5-6 Coordinator:

Be the first point of contact for supporting schools for their age groups.


Year 7-8 Coordinator:

Be the first point of contact for supporting schools for their age groups.
