​​​​​​​History of Taupo Rugby Sub Union​​​​​​​

The Taupo rugby sub union was set up to administer to the clubs in Taupo. These have included Taupo, Tihoi, Tauhara, Warakei Marist and Athletic. It was initially a sub union to the Hawkes Bay Rugby Union.

Currently,  there are 4 club that now comes under the sub union they are Taupo United Rugby and Sports, Taupo Marist Junior Rugby, Tongariro RFC and Taupo Rugby and Sports Club all are also affiliated to the King Country Union. Taupo rugby sub union administers junior rugby within Taupo.
