Friday 6th  TWILIGHT SUPER BOWL Tuesday Winners THE KNOLLSTERS Vs Friday Winners CARLEYS TRANSPORT, we’ll aim for a 5.45pm start Wet or Fine. Also? Tuesday Aparangi vs Friday Aparangi Teams?

VERY MANY THANKS to Members who participated in Twilights - it really does help encourage newbies.

Sat 7th  ETHEL BRYCE Club Trophy. Be at the Club by 9.15am so that teams can be organised & formats explained.

Sat 14th Club Championship PAIRS – Put names on the Bowls Room noticeboard by 4pm the preceding Friday.

Tue 17th  OPEN Tournament – Names on Whiteboard by noon the preceding Saturday OR RING RUSSELL.

            - Please make sure your name is REMOVED from the Whiteboard if you are no longer available.

Sat 21st  FRANK MCRAE Memorial Trophy (includes Social Members). This is the annual visit from the family of a TKBC stalwart. They come from far and wide to celebrate his memory in a very informal & fun way. Just turn up.

Sat 28th  DOT PALMER CUP. Be at the Club by 9.15am so that teams can be organised & formats explained. 

                              

If you go for a casual roll-up on Thursday evenings, please do not enter the main Clubrooms between  6 – 8pm when the Girl Guides are in there. [ that won’t include school holidays }

                   

Thursday 19 and Friday 20 Feb saw Game on Turf repairing the discrepancies in the Green, with good results.

A final inspection takes place in March.

                                                                   

Last Monday a group of at least 20 Club members paid their respects to Bruce and his family at his funeral.   Larry Simmonds made a fitting tribute to Bruce on behalf of the Club. Thanks to those who attended

Social Members NEWSLETTER      MARCH 2025

             

Welcome to our Twilight participants – thanks for making this event a resounding success. Congratulations to THE KNOLLSTERS who won the Tuesday series and CARLEYS TRANSPORT, the Friday one.        There will be a playoff between these two teams this Friday 6th March.

And a guest appearance with Tuesday Aparangi team v Friday Aparangi team.


Twilight social members that received an interim complimentary social membership, that has now expired. If you would like to extend it, please pay $5 to the Secretary on a Friday evening or pay to account: 06-0477-0938231-00 ANZ      TE KAUWHATA BOWLING CLUB INC    Ref: Your Name

Either way, you are very welcome to continue attending our Friday evening social gatherings from 4.30pm. Larry and Co play music  every second week. Or drop in to watch bowling events.

To ALL members or non-members, friends, family etc - if you would like to explore further the challenging /exasperating? game of lawn bowls – come along to our Tuesday and Saturday roll-ups up to three times ( FREE ) to help you decide.

Be at the Clubrooms 9.15am for a 9.30 start, bowls are provided. The sessions usually last a couple of hours with a break for a cuppa included.

HALF PRICE Subs: From 1st February a Limited-Playing membership* is $30.

*A Limited sub allows play at events held by TKBC at the Te Kauwhata Club.

(A Full-Playing sub allows play at all Clubs in NZ and entry to TKBC Club Championships = $50)

The full subscription year is from 1 September to 31 August

INDOOR BOWLS will start on Saturday mornings from 9.30am over winter months (May – August)
