       Thanks to everyone who attended the TKBC AGM held on Sat June 20^th. We farewelled, with thanks and    appreciation for their time in office, John Richardson and Merv Thompson who is also not standing again but will coordinate the Sponsorship team.

Before a shared lunch, the 2025_2026 prize winners were presented with their trophies by Vice-President Chris Paget and  Patron Anne Goodin.  Congratulations to all prize-winners – you will receive your actual prizes at a future event.

June /July events:-

Result June 16^th  OPEN tournament: The best TKBC ACT team was  ?, ? and ?    (come on guys-it’s just a text)

Result June 18^th  The Taupiri OPEN Tournament was WON by Larry, Doug and Noel. Super-duper!

July 21^st TKBC OPEN Tournament – Put names on Whiteboard by noon the preceding Saturday OR RING RUSSELL.

The Playing Committee are currently  working on the 2026_2027 Playing Programme which starts on September 1^st

As of today, Tuesday & Saturday roll-ups continue (NOT July 25^th} until further notice. Social Members NEWSLETTER      MARCH 2025

Welcome to our Twilight participants – thanks for making this event a resounding success. Congratulations to THE KNOLLSTERS who won the Tuesday series and CARLEYS TRANSPORT, the Friday one.        There will be a playoff between these two teams this Friday 6^th March.

And a guest appearance with Tuesday Aparangi team v Friday Aparangi team.

Either way, you are very welcome to continue attending our Friday evening social gatherings from 4.30pm. Larry and Co play music  every second week. Or drop in to watch bowling events.

To ALL members or non-members, friends, family etc - if you would like to explore further the challenging /exasperating? game of lawn bowls – come along to our Tuesday and Saturday roll-ups up to three times ( FREE ) to help you decide.

Be at the Clubrooms 9.15am for a 9.30 start, bowls are provided. The sessions usually last a couple of hours with a break for a cuppa included.

HALF PRICE Subs: From 1^st February a Limited-Playing membership* is $30.

*A Limited sub allows play at events held by TKBC at the Te Kauwhata Club.

(A Full-Playing sub allows play at all Clubs in NZ and entry to TKBC Club Championships = $50)

The full subscription year is from 1 September to 31 August

The next event open to Social members (to play) is on Saturday March 21^st  You are welcome to join in  The FRANK MCRAE Memorial Trophy       

    This is the annual visit from the family of a TKBC stalwart. They come from far and wide to celebrate his memory in a very informal & fun way. Just turn up - by 9.30am.

INDOOR BOWLS will start on Saturday mornings from 9.30am over winter months (May – August)

Note that it is available any time if there is someone to organise it.
