Te Puke Rifle Club Incorporated is a long standing fullbore target rifle club, Incorporated as a Society in June 1956 (but formed originally in 1919). We are one of a number of long range rifle clubs located throughout New Zealand, affiliated to The National Rifle Association of New Zealand.
We are a friendly, welcoming club & cater for all people, those experienced in target shooting, hunters wanting to learn to shoot out long, or people with no experience who would like to have a go in a safe environment. The club teaches new members and casual visitors the fundamental principles of safe firearms handling.
Te Puke Rifle Club's membership is representative of all ages and walks of life. Our youngest member is an 11 year old young lady, and a number of our veteran shooters are retired and still competing in their seventies. Target rifle shooting is one of the few sports where men and women compete on equal terms. We also have bench shooting facilities available for disabled shooters or those that simply struggle to shoot prone.
A number of our members are also hunters, so we welcome hunters who want to learn to shoot beyond 300 yards.... which is where we start.
A really great feature of our club is that we use electronic targets, meaning that there is no need to go forward to check your target. You will see precisely where your shot lands on the target, from a Samsung tablet beside you. You can even use your own tablet or phone.
We have a bench at each of our mounds located at 300, 500 & 600 yards.
