Hui-ā-Tau

_____

Hui-ā-Tau is the flagship annual gathering for Te Puna Tahua Toa — a cornerstone on our calendar for nearly two decades. Established in 2004, TPTT/NKMoA has held regular Hui-ā-Tau to grow the network, develop Māori accounting talent, and share practical insights across the Māori economy.

Each Hui-ā-Tau focuses on a theme chosen by the Executive or organising ohu, with events spanning one to three days. Attendees connect kanohi-ki-te-kanohi, complete CPD, and engage in kaupapa uniquely grounded in Māori commerce, governance, and finance. Recent hui and related major events include Wellington’s 2023 Hui-ā-Tau at Pipitea Marae, the 2024 international summit Te Hui Taketake a Te Puna Tahua Toa in Rotorua, Auckland's 2025 Hui-ā-Tau at Novotel Auckland, and Tauranga Moana's 2026 Hui-ā-Tau.

Save-the-date notices, registration, and accommodation details are released on our site and channels as each hui opens. For the latest dates and programme, please check our events page.
