2025 TWP REGISTRATIONS

The National Tournament is held yearly over Labour Weekend and is officially listed on the NZ Hockey Federation calendar of events. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

When: Labour Weekend, Fri 24th to Mon 27th Oct 2025

Where: Counties Manukau, Pukekohe

Team Accommodation - own accommodation

Pōwhiri: Friday time TBA

Pō Whakangahau Venue: Sunday TBA

ELIGIBILITY:

Recommended for 16 and over.

TWP players must fund their transport and accommodation.

  • You must be of Māori descent.
  • You must be affiliated, reside or whakapapa to our rohe.
  • Permission must be granted to play another Rohe
  • All players must be mindful of cultural protocol and adhere to NZMH tikanga and its constitution.

Day 1 - Powhiri -  games commence (early start)

Day 2 - Round 1 / 2

Day 3 - Semifinals, Hui (Po whakangahau)

Day 4 - Finals and Awards.​​​​​​​

The NZ Māori teams are chosen from the Annual National Māori Hockey Tournament.

EASTER WEEKEND 

​​​​​​​New Zealand Heritage Hockey was created to support the growth and participation levels in hockey – with a particular focus on underrepresented ethnic groups.  Māori, Pasifika and New Zealand Indians.
