CODE OF CONDUCT
FOR THAMES COAST BOWLING CLUB  PLAYERS

OBJECTIVES: To ensure that players are aware of the standards expected and the consequences of breaching these standards.

GENERAL: The CODE OF Conduct is to be followed on all occasions and in all places where players can be seen as a Member of our Club under the jurisdiction of the Thames Valley Centre, and includes:
The Venue of play, the surrounds, Green, and Clubhouse where the players are competing.

PLAYERS’ OBLIGATIONS:

The Competition:
  • To maintain at all times a high standard of Sportsmanship and fair play.
  • Always playing to the best of his/her ability.
  • Abiding by the Laws of the Game, its Regulations and the Conditions of play.
  • Respecting and Accepting without question any ruling given by the Umpire.
  • Maintain towards opponents an attitude of respect and politeness.
  • NO Alcohol to be consumed on the Greens during play.
  • Abide by the dress codes as in the Conditions of Play

ALL OCCASIONS:
1. To refrain from
(a) Any behaviour or misconduct which might reflect unfavourably on the Game, Thames Coast Bowling Club & Thames Valley Bowls.
(b) Any discriminatory remarks based on race, religion, ethnic background, or special ability / disability.
2. Abide by:
(a) And comply with all directions of Thames Coast Bowling Club & Thames Valley Bowls.
(b) Accept and act upon any judgement of any duly appointed official of Thames Coast Bowling Club or Thames Valley Bowls.
(c) The requirements of Thames Coast Bowling Club & Thames Valley Bowls as to dress including Sponsors’ Logo.
3. Respect the Tournament Officials, Volunteers, Officers, Members and Staff of any Club at which the Event is being held or has been played.
4. Respect the Officers and appointed Officials of Thames Valley Bowls.

This Code of Conduct has been adopted by the Thames Coast Bowling Club Inc.
