Youth Development Squad
Build skills. Grow confidence. Make friends.
The TriHB Youth Development Squad is designed to help young athletes develop their swimming, cycling and running skills in a fun, supportive environment. Whether you’re new to multisport or already competing, our sessions focus on learning, teamwork and personal growth.
Develop confidence in the water
Swimming is often the biggest challenge for young athletes. Our swim sessions focus on technique, confidence and efficiency, helping athletes become more comfortable and capable in the water while building a strong foundation for future multisport success.
Ride with confidence
From bike handling skills to riding safely and efficiently, our cycling sessions help young athletes gain confidence on two wheels. Athletes learn important skills while having fun and enjoying the best riding locations Hawke’s Bay has to offer.
Build fitness and resilience
Running is the simplest part of triathlon, but there’s always something new to learn. Our run sessions help athletes improve technique, coordination and fitness while developing the confidence that comes from setting goals and achieving them.
Better together
One of the best parts of the Youth Development Squad is the friendships that are built along the way. Athletes train alongside others with similar goals, encouraging each other, learning together and becoming part of a supportive team environment.
