  • Information from our Venue Manager:

The QEYC public Wi-Fi, is easily accessed by anyone on their devices. They click the option on their Wi-Fi settings, and then they will be directed to a landing page. Then they read and accept the Terms and conditions and they will be connected. There is a time limit of connectivity (1 hour I think) and also a maximum amount they can use it for. It will not allow them to stream movies etc, but they can certainly check emails and webpages etc.

We have a snack food vending machine as well as drinks can vending machines in the venue foyer. We do not service these ourselves, and the contact numbers for them are on the machines. They both take coins. The food machine can take bank notes as well. The drinks machine can take card payments. We also have drinks available to purchase from the venue reception, as well as ice creams! Cash, Eftpos (card) and cheque can be used for this.  There is plenty of food take away options within a short walk on Cameron Road, and a coffee guy that will come by the venue each morning.

  • There are plenty of hot showers in the changing rooms of the venue. These are free to use, but please ensure you take any rubbish, containers and lost property out of them afterwards.
  • In the park there is “hole in one golf crazy golf”, a miniature railway for children, play park for children as well as walks and a skate park. There is parking onsite, as well as along Devonport road and the surrounding streets. We are on the local bus routes with an easy distance from the CBD.
  • Lunches and dinners can be pre-booked through our caterer - Nomad.  Details will be circulated shortly.
  • Please be available to play 20 minutes before the time you are scheduled to play.  Some times we will ask for a match to be brought forward, to avoid a possible bottleneck later.
  • Pools matches will be scheduled with first two matches starting two minutes apart.  This is to ensure that 3 of the 4 players are always available to start the first match on time - even if one player for the opening match is delayed in arrival.
  • The TTNZ Liaison Officer role will be shared by Gary Williams, Christine Young, Grant Wilson and John Lea during the event, ranking in that order. An official complaints form will be available at the control desk if a dispute arises, and must be completed and signed before being handed to the TTNZ Liaison Officer, who then has the duty of forming a Disputes Resolution Panel, if deemed required.
  • Please be a tidy kiwi and clean up any rubbish that you make.
