Uniform Requirements

Formal Shirt

All youth must have a formal shirt. This is worn to section nights and on formal occasions.  To order a formal shirt, please visit   https://scoutsdirect.co.nz/collections/general-uniforms-and-clothing/products/sea-scouts-uniform-keas-through-to-leaders?variant=2745951027213

Search 'uniform' and select Sea Scout Uniform.  Make sure you order Short Sleeve Navy.

Limited sizes of second hand shirts are sometimes available.

Activity Shirt

An activity shirt is required for water activities, camps & regattas and on section nights if advised by the Leaders.  These are quick-dry and easy-care.  They make it easy to spot our members at Zone and Region events.

Fleece Jumper

A polar fleece jumper is a really good item to have as they are super warm and useful to put on after water activites.  They are required on camps & regattas.

Hats

We encourage bucket hats or something with a 360deg brim for sun safety.  A chin strap or string "keeper" is a great idea for when they blow off while boating.  We are currently sourcing a suitable "surfer" style hat to become part of our activity uniform.

Contact purchasing.tdss@gmail.com for uniform orders/inquiries (activity shirts, polar fleece jumper).

Please refer to the sizing guide on the right of this page.  There is also a guide of where to sew your badges.

Limited sizes of second hand uniforms are sometimes available.
