Wet Weather

In the case of very wet weather, the A & P Showgrounds may be closed.  There are various ways to check if First Kicks or Fun Football will go ahead in the case of inclement weather.  We recommend you join the 'Southern Small Whites Football' Facebook group.  You can also check the Pukekohe club website:  www.pukekoheafc.com frequently to provide information as to whether play will happen on a Saturday, or alternatively you can phone the PUKEKOHE CLUB WET WEATHER LINE:  027 483 4078.  A message will be left on the phone by 7.40am on any given raining Saturday.  Please do not leave a message on this phone as it is not checked regularly.

How the PODs are Organised

First Kicks will run at the same time, 9.00am – 10.00am on Saturdays. Please arrive by 8.45am so that everyone is organised and ready to go when the hooter goes at 9.00am.

Players will be placed in a ‘POD’ in which they will play each week over the season. Players can be placed on a POD taking into account friends that they may like to play with.  Please let us know if you have any such requests as soon as possible to assist with planning.

On arrival players go straight to their PODS and line up behind the main POD flag. They will then head off to their field (station) with their game leader to begin their first activity.

These activities are run completely by volunteers.  Each club is required to provide volunteers to help on Saturday mornings.  Please consider giving some time to help out, no football experience is necessary as full instructions are given.  Please email us if you are keen to help out.
