Our Mātāpono is the foundation that grounds and reinforces our commitment and dedication to our tamariki.


Each of our Mātāpono provides an opportunity for us all to experience our kura through a worldview that is uniquely ours.

It is important we understand the place and relevance our Mātāpono have within our kura and how they contribute to cultivating character, shaping our perspectives and solidifying our actions, not only for our tamariki to succeed, but for all of us.

WHAKAMANA


Is an expression that reminds us to honour and uphold the integrity and well-being of ourselves, each other, and our kaupapa.

Whakamana also gives us permission to uplift, celebrate, encourage, acknowledge, nurture, and unleash the potential from within every member of our kura.

WHAKAĀHURU


Is an expression that reminds us to care for ourselves, each other, and our kaupapa in ways that align with Poutikanga.

Whakaāhuru encourages us to lead with compassion and empathy, honouring the mana and unique qualities each person brings so we can prosper together.

WHAKATAUIRA


Represents the idea of being the change we want to see. This principle gives us the opportunity to role model, guide and inspire others to lead by example.

Accepting and acknowledging this practice is fundamental to the success of our kaupapa and the fostering of effective relationships.
