Mountfort KBT Rules 2026
1. Teams must consist of minimum 8 and maximum to 11 players.*
2. Each team must include a mimum 3 girls (or 3 boys) at each game.*
3. All games are 6 aside and are to be played with 1 goalie and 5 field players.
4. Players may only play in one team and in one grade over the tournament*.
5. All grades will be played in a full sized pool, and in accordance with NZWP recommendations, all matches will be contested with a size 3 ball.
6. Games will be 2 x 7.5 min halves running clock. There will be no in pool warm up time.
7. The referee will stop the game half way through the first half at which time all the subs on the bench must enter the pool. This is the only subbing allowed in the first half.
8. In the second half, subs are per normal rules. Also, rolling subs permited in second half long as a touch of hand takes place in the exclusion zone between players involved
9. No subbing is allowed at all in the final 60 seconds of the match.
10. Any illegal subbing will result in the game being stopped, the original player(s) restored and a yellow card issued to the coach concerned.
11. No shots direct off fouls allowed.
12. No Time Outs allowed.
13. Exclusion time will be 20 seconds.
14. A and B Grade Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Medal matches will progress to penalties if the scores remain level at full time
15. For C & NB Grade in event of a draw in a game where a result is required, the highest ranked side coming into that game will subsequently be declared the winner
16. For matches where a result is required per (15) and where asisdes cannot be separated by ranking. The winner will be the team that scored the first goal in that match.
17. For final placing matches (outside the medal matches), where the game ends in a draw, the teams will be placed 'equal' .
18. For RR games; 2 points awarded for a win. 1 point for a draw. 0 points for a loss.
*The Tournament organisers will consider exemptions to team eligibility rules, providing that they are made in writing prior to the tournament commencing UPDATED: 13/05/2026
