MID CANTERBURY NETBALL PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT & ETHICS

As a player in any netball or netball related activity held by or under the auspices of Mid Canterbury Netball Centre, a Regional Entity or NNZ, you must meet the following requirements in regard to your conduct during any such activity or event.


1: Play equally hard for yourself and your team.  Your team’s performance will benefit, so will you.

2: Treat all players as you would like to be treated.  Do not bully or take unfair advantage of another player.3

3: Control your temper, any verbal abuse or deliberate contact.  Abusive behaviour is unacceptable.

4: Play according to the rules of netball and the principles of fair play.

5: Never argue with an umpire.  If you are concerned, talk to your coach or captain.

6: Be a good sport, cheer all good play from both your team and the opposition.

7: Appreciate and co-operate with your coach, team mates and officials.  There would be no game without them.

8: Take responsibility for your performance on and off the court.
