President’s Message – 2025/26 Season

Hello members, friends, and fellow bowlers,
Welcome to the 2025/26 season at Waihi Bowling Club, a season that promises not just great bowls, but some seriously exciting changes on and off the green!
After plenty of planning, painting, our refurbished clubrooms are nearly ready to shine. They’ll soon be the pride of the club, offering a fresh, modern, and welcoming space for post-match chats, cuppas, and maybe even a celebratory wine or beer or two.
And just when you thought we couldn’t get any fancier, brand new shelters are going up around the green. These are sure to be appreciated come that famous Waihi "sun one minute, sideways rain the next" weather. Whether you're ducking for cover or casually spectating, you'll do it in comfort and style.
All of this progress is only possible thanks to the incredible support of our sponsors generosity that continues to push the club forward. Your belief in our little corner of the bowling world means more than we can express.
To our volunteers, thank you for everything, organising, sweeping, coaching, smiling. You’re the magic behind the mats. You make the club tick, hum, and occasionally sing out loud after a raffle win.
As we look ahead, let’s continue the tradition of fun, fair play, and friendship that makes Waihi Bowling Club such a special place. Let’s welcome new members with open arms and cheer each other on.
