Waihi Netball are very grateful to our Life Members as they've all given much to our Centre over many years since being established in 1946. What a whirlwind of knowledge and growth over the years it has been incredible to see developement over the years.

Zerlina - A Lifetime of Service

Every now and then, a gentle Zerlina (known as Lina) growl might be on the cards but anyone who knows Lina knows it always comes from a place of heart, care and wanting the very best for our game and our people.

Lina has dedicated a lifetime of service to netball, giving countless hours to umpiring, coaching, mentoring and supporting the development of our umpires and players. She is someone who can always be counted on to step up, share her knowledge and help wherever she can. Her commitment to our game and our community is truly special, and we are very, very blessed to have her as part of our Waihi Netball whānau.

The U16 Representative Team were fortunate enough to have Lina as their umpire at the 2026 North Island Junior Netball Championships in Taranaki, a wonderful reflection of the many ways she continues to give back to our players and our game.

Congratulations, Lina on becoming a Life Member of Waihi Netball Centre. Your service, your passion, your knowledge and yes, even the occasional Lina growl are all part of what makes you so special to our netball community.
