About Us:
Since our establishment in 1989, we’ve been dedicated to fostering participation, skill development, and a true team spirit across all ages and levels of the game. Wainui Sports Club is a community-focused football club.
Based at Wainui Reserve and Heath Johnston park, we field multiple men’s teams — including the Sharks, Demons, and Salty Dogs — as well as the highly successful women’s team, Wainui Riverina, and youth representative squads. Our club also runs Pre-Academy and youth programmes designed to nurture young talent and prepare players for competitive play.
At Wainui Sports Club, we’re about more than just football — we’re about community, inclusion, and helping players of all abilities grow both on and off the pitch. We strive to create a welcoming environment where families, volunteers, coaches, and supporters all come together to celebrate sport and community spirit.
