On Sunday 26^th May, several of our men’s women’s and master’s crews travelled to Foxton to compete in the annual Manawatu “Grunt.” The course takes place over 7km of the Manawatu river, starting at the speed boat club and heading towards the sea. The day was pretty much as good as it can get: sunny, clear, and no wind. All of our crews performed fantastically, and wellington ended up taking out one of the top five spots, with the the Senior Women’s Coxless Quad (Elizabeth Pittman, Sarah Wootton, Laura James & Tracey Bates) taking out 2^nd place, behind Horowhenua Men’s Club Four.
