A HUGE thank you to Putaruru Golf Club, Denise Hunt, Alison Riley and all of their volunteers for hosting the 2023 Women's 9-Hole Champion of Champions and Bronze II 18-Hole Champion of Champions! This year, the weather was a concern with cloudy skies, bouts of showers and winds to contend with however the ladies perservered! Some good scores came in despite conditions! In our Bronze II 18-Hole Section, Sherry Ludlam, Cambridge, took the win shooting 92, and taking Nett was Pam Haakma, Tahuna. Jenny Forster with a Gross score of 48 was good enough to take out the Silver Division and Lee-Anne Stanton, from Morrinsville Golf Club took the Nett prize with a super score of 34! Great golfing ladies! The Bronze gals didn't disapoint with Judy Burrows, from Tieke Golf Estate taking the Gross prize and trophy shooting 51 and Jan Hyde, Cambridge Golf Club taking Nett with a score of 33! Congrats also to Cheryl Williamson, Hamilton Golf Club with the only 2 on the day!
WGA would also like to give a special thanks to Peg Murphy, Life Memeber, who was onsite to present the trophies to our 2023 winners!!
