The Ladies Championship Triples Winners are Shirley Watson,  Lyn White and Trina Riley.  Runners up were Tracey Ashley,  Kerry Haddock and Trish Fraser.

 Two teams are still alive after Five rounds of Mens Championship Triples. Gary Glasgow,  Rob McIntyre and Peter Mead still have two lives.   They will play Steve Green,   Brent Johnson and John Chelley at a date to be arranged.

Twilight Bowls are proving popular with 26 teams  of Triples entering,  After two weeks of competition Haddocks team 1 are in the lead with 27 points followed closely by Team HBL builders with 26 points

Saturday 5th November P.M. On Tuesday27th September,  The first Aggregate of the summer season sponsored by Patsy Kirk and Kathy Dempser-rivett was won by Lyn White,  Shirley Allen and Alan Sulivan with 41 points.  The Runners up were Jenny Moris,  Bill Watson and Lyn Southern with 38 points.  In third place was John Chelley,  Robert Bruere and  Jack Nightingale with 34 points.



 At the Indepndent Refrigeration sponsored two bowl triples on Saturday 24th September,  the Winners were Mark Sargison,   Steve Green and Ray Owen with 4 wins plus a differential of 54.  The Runners up were Brett Martin,   Margret O'Regan and Annette Whyte with 4 wins plus 31. Third place went to Gary Glasgow,  Robert McIntyre and Peter Mead with 4 wins plus 28.

At the September 11th P.M. Mini 2 games of pairs were played.  one 2x4x2 and the other 3 bowl pairs.  With 2 wins 10 ends and 20 shots the winners were Gary Glasgow and Kate Robbie.  Runners up were Lyn White and Peter Mead one win 10 ends and 14 shots. In third place was Bruce Mulligan and Murray Dunhill with One with win 8 ends and 18 shots  

On Tuesday 6th September the P.M. Mini Winners were Kathy Dempster-Rivett,  Gerry Aratema and Peter Ker with 2 wins 13 ends and 27 shots.   Runners up were Gary Glasgow,  Peter Mead and Ray McMillan with one win 10 ends and 20 shots.   In third place was Lyn White,  John Arrol,  Pauline Vincent and Sue Davies with one win,  10 ends and19 shots. There will be a P.M. Mini on Sunday with a 12.30 P.M  start due to the center Junior optional Pairs being played at Whakatane greens this weekend.  On Tuesday 13th The Donovan Trophy will be played at Ohope and a P.M. mini at Whakatane 12.30pm start. 

Opening day of the summer season was held on Saturday 3rd Sept.  The first Jack was delivered by Life member Peter Newton and first bowl delivered by Patron Rob Lyford.     Two games of 10 end triples were played.  The winners were Gary Glasgow, John Dye and Kate Robbie with 2 games 13 ends and 27 shots.   Second place  went to Bruce Mulligan,  Robert McIntyre and Mike Ashley.  In third place was Derek Kendall,  Gerry Aratema and Lynne Southern with 2 wins 11 ends and 22 shots.


Rob Lyford was the Sponsor of the Dawson cup played on Tuesday 30th August,  the winners were Jock Stewart,  Gerry Aratema and John Dye with 3 wins 16 ends and 31 shots.    Runners up were Steve Green,  Tracey Ashley and Jack Nightingale  with 2 wins 20 ends and 39 shots Third place went to Kathy Dempster-Rivett,  Rob Lyford and Colin Wilde with 2 wins, 18 end and 41 shots. 

The winners at Saturday's O.O.H. two bowl triples were Bruce Mulligan,  Gerry Aratema and Maureen Greer with two wins 13 ens and 25 shots.  Runners up were Gary Glasgow,   Murray Dunnill and Jill Payne with one win 12 ends and 34 shots In third Place was Bill Watson,  Shirley Allen and Colin Wilde with one win 12 ends and 23 shots.


Motor Trade Finance sponsored winter Aggregate final was played on Tuesday  23th August the winning team was Gary Glasgow and Pauline Vincent with 47 points.   Runners up were Shirley Allen and Jack Nightingale with 46 points.  In Third place was Colleen Williams and Peter Hunter with 44 points.    The overall Aggregate winner was Gary Glasgow, retaining the Doug Harwood trophy with 317 points.   In second place equal with 279 points were Tracey Ashley and Jack Nightingale.

The red shirt trophy contested between Ohope and Whakatane clubs was played on Sunday 21st August with Whakatane retaining the trophy by winning seven games against five. 

The P.M.Mini winners on 20th August were Peter Mead,  Rob Neal,  Maureen Greer and Carla Knott with 2 wins 11 ends and 24 shots.   Runners up were Bruce Mulligan,  Brent Johnson,  Bill Watson and Kate Robbie with one win 10 ends and 18 shots.  In third place was Kathy Dempser-Rivett,  Alan Sullivan and Colin Wilde with a draw 10 ends and 22 shots.

The R.S.A. Triples played at Whakatane on Thursday 11th August winners were Warwick Wickham,  Des Connor and Brian Hill with Plus 54.   Runners up were Mark Sarginson,  Steve Green and Sarah Williams with plus 35.  In third place was Bruce Mulligan,   Shirley Allen and Kate Robbie with plus 28
