Woodlands Junior Rugby Club 2024


4th March 2024 - Welcome to another great season of rugby at Woodlands!

The following notice contains important information for existing and new players


Uniform:

  • Rugby jerseys, rugby shorts and mouth guards are supplied by the club. Mouth guards will be given out at the first practice. If you lose your mouth guard you will need to replace it yourself 
  • You will need to supply your own rugby boots and Woodlands socks
  • Socks can be purchased from the club, these are $15.00. To order, please email woodlandsjuniorrugby@gmail.com 


Fees: 

  • Fees are $40.00 for an individual player, $70.00 for 2 children and $80.00 for 3+ in a family

      All fees are due by 1st June 2024


Practices:

  • Practices will be held every Wednesday from 4.30-5.30pm at the rugby club 
  • If there are any changes to practice days/times (particularly due to weather), the Coaches will contact the players directly and it will be on our Sporty website

Games & Cancellations

  • The first game for the season is on Saturday 11th of May 2024 and will run through until the 10th of August 2024.  There will be no rugby at Kings Birthday weekend and the 13th of July (middle weekend of school holidays)
  • The draw can be viewed on the Rugby Southland website or on the My Rugby App (download available for Android and Apple)

  • Rugby game cancellations will be posted on the Sporty website and Facebook page.  Cancellations are also available on MoreFM Southland

  • We would like to encourage you to use this very versatile website more this season. Download the App or add it as a shortcut to your computer desktop for quick and easy access.
  • Any urgent notices regarding cancellations for trainings or ground changes for games will be posted on our Facebook Page - please ensure you like and follow us!
  • If you take any photos forward these to woodlandsjuniorrugby@gmail.com and they can be added into the photo gallery


Ball Boy Duty:

  • The older teams will be expected to do ball boy duty for the senior teams when they have home games


Coaches and Sponsors:

  • If anyone is interested in coaching or sponsoring a team please let us know
  • Coaches and our Sponsors are a very important part of our club and we can’t do it without you!
