Rationale

Praedeus Netball Sports will take all practicable steps to ensure the safety of Administrators, Coaches, Officials, Parents and Players by complying with relevant health and safety legislation, standards and codes of practice.

Purpose

  1. To provide a safe physical and emotional environment for all of the clubs members and associates.
  2. To comply in full with any legislation currently in force or that may be developed to ensure the safety of its members.

Guidelines

  1. All members have individual responsibility for health and safety.


  1. There will be a dedicated Health & Safety representative.

  • Accept their responsibility for eliminating and minimising the potential for harm to people


  1. Members will be consulted on, and given the opportunity to participate in, health and safety management


  1. Praedues Netball Sports Codes of Conduct will be adhere to by all members and associates

  2. Support coaches and managers involved with teams
  • Ensure teams are provided with adequate equipment and time for practice
  • Praedeus will provide up to date resources to help coaches, umpires, administrators
  • Promote and support the principles of Fairplay
  • Coaches/Managers to record any injuries or incidents
  • Coaches are to ensure that after injury players are only to return to playing/training once clear by a doctor or physio.
  • Coaches/managers to inform parents of any health or injury concerns.
  • Managers to ensure that players and parents are given copies of the clubs Code of Ethnics at first training.

  1. When playing at various venues all members are to ensure health and safety guidelines of that venue are adhered to in full.
