PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

Zest for sport: Quality sport experiences

This code of conduct does not set out to provide a detailed description, but rather the broad principles of acceptable player behaviour at Alfriston College. 

Alfriston College is here to ensure that sport is enjoyed by all, in a safe and positive environment. We all have the responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in sport. By signing up to play sports, you are accepting and agreeing to the player code of conduct at all times.


As a player for Alfriston College I will;

  • RESPECT yourself, other participants, supervisors and staff, spectators, and equipment

  • COMMIT yourself and contribute to activities/team events

  • WORK HARD be positive and show appreciation where needed

  • ABIDE by the rules and respect the decision of supervisors and staff

  • COOPERATE with others and be a good sport. Respect everyone including yourself opponent

  • HAVE FUN playing sporting activities and games. Work equally hard for yourself and your team.


Alfriston College player requirements

  • Attendance (minimum 75% required) to participate in school sport
  • Achievement - all school work must be up to date and assessments have been achieved
  • ​​​​​​​Good behaviour, attitude and values must be role modelled and demonstrated consistently


I understand that if I do not follow this code of conduct/behaviour, any/all of the following actions may be taken;

I may be;

  • Issued with a verbal and/or written warning from the school

  • Required to meet with the school sports coordinator and/or school principal

  • My parents may be contacted

  • Stood down from the team

  • Removed from the team
