Each year Badminton Central Region run a series of coach & player development opportunities aimed at upskilling coaches within our region as well as strengthening the depth of playing talent by providing development opportunities for non-elite regional players.

Primary focus - Coach Development

Development of Club/Association/School Time and Rep coaches, who will attend the camps as ‘development coaches’. It will be recommended for each ‘development coach’ to attend as many of the three camps as they can. This would be a great opportunity for coaches looking to develop their coaching skills generally, and those considering attending a BWF Level 1 Coaching Course and/or who are in the process of completing the course.

Secondary focus - Player Development

Development of 'non-elite' players. These camps will be targeting strengthening the depth of playing ability within the Central Region by closing the gap between the top (elite) players within the region and the next level through providing quality training opportunities and improving the general level of coaching within Associations & Clubs.

In 2023 one Development Camp opportunity wil be run:

- Camp - Capital Region - Sat 5 & Sun 6 August - (final year u13s & all u15s)

- Development Days - TBC
