JUNIOR COMPETITION - Primary & Intermediate School Players

Eastern Waikato offers a Junior Competition which is played on a Saturday morning through the months of March to August - excluding school holidays, and involves 4 competitive rounds.  This competition is generally targeted for all players aged from 5 to 13 years of age. 


Unlike other netball centres, teams competiting within the Junior competition are graded based on their ability as opposed to their age group, providing clubs or schools the power to develop their players further dependant on the players skills. 


The Junior Competition consists of 5 grades A, B, C, D & E and the general rule of thumb is that all players aged 9 or over prior to 1 January must be within a team playing in the C grade or higher and any Year 7 or Year 8 players must be within a B graded team or higher.
