Senior Rowers

All high School rowers except Novices are referred to as 'Senior Rowers'.

Hauraki Rowing Club has a close relationship with Hauraki Plains College with most of its members, students at the college.

Senior Rowers are those who have been training and competing for over 1 year. Their knowledge of the sport is much better than the novices and their fitness tends to be some of the best in the whole school. 

Hauraki Rowers attend both the North Island Secondary Schools Rowing Championships (NISS) and National Rowing Championships (Maadi Cup) regattas each year.

Hauraki Plains College students have a proud reputation of punching above their weight, often competing against much larger and more fancied schools.
