Bowls Southland; Invercargill Sub Centre  14 September 2021 at Georgetown

Previous minutes: August 10th approved as correct with inclusion of Waverley at the meeting plus  delegate names-George Amos (Inv)  and Ross Weir                                                   Tokanui/Invercargill

Matters Arising: Clarification re Silver Division. These games will not all be played on one green (Division A or Division B). Clubs prefer more home games. The intent being more home/club games as possible. Match Committee to have the freedom to develop interclub to best suit all clubs

Finance: Bank statement as at 30 August; $1788.35. Subs received from: Georgetown, Waihopai, Waikiwi, Waverley, Woodlands

General:

Interclub draw; S Flett from Bowls Southland has agreed to formulate the draw for the match committee

Silver Division; One complete round for Division 1 and Division 2. Top four in each Division to become a new Division A. The bottom 4 and 5 to become a new Division B

1st round Points do not carry forward – restart again

Cancellation will be made by 11 30am

Bronze Division; One complete round then top 6 make up Division 1 with the remaining 5 become Division 2.

NB: Games to be a maximum of 1 hr 20 mins to align with Silver division should teams from both division be on the same green (a change from previous minutes)

1-10 Division; Otatara and Invercargill to become a joint team (Invercargill will have 1 ½ entries)

1 complete round then top 6 go into Final Series as per 2020

Round 1 (preliminary semi final) Teams ranked 1 & 2 have a bye. Team 3 plays team 6. Team 4 plays Team 5

Round 2 ( Semi Final) Team 1 plays winner from Teams 4 v 5. Team 2 plays winner of Teams 3 v 6

Round 3 (Final) Winner from each Semi Final play off

Cancellation will be made by 3pm   NB: this over-rides the information in the Official Handbook

Wednesday Triples and Fours;  Each division to be played on one green.

Cancellation will be made by 11 30am

Thursday Roll up; 2 greens required, Division 1 to have 10 teams, Division 2 to have 8 teams

$4pp per game. Host club must spend a minimum of $30 on afternoon tea.

What constitutes a game

All Sub Centre Matches: when games are interrupted due to weather, Five (5) completed ends shall constitute a result

Where any match comprises two (2) games eg Silver and Bronze, and 2nd game cannot be played due to weather, The points for the second game shall be shared.

Should one club by mutual arrangement with its opposition, arrange to play a match in the week prior to the scheduled date (eg to accommodate rep player availability), and the scheduled Saturday date is cancelled due to weather, all points for the round are discarded – no team in that division receives points for the round.

Cancellation of interclub is made by the match committee/Cancellation committee by the time as noted above. However after 11 30am for afternoon games or 3pm for Tuesday evening games, cancellation will be determined by the host Greenkeeper as to the green being available. Should this occur, games played will retain points earned. Cancelled game will share the points available.

Waverley indoor facility is not an option for Interclub for any Division

Meeting with Recorder; Prior to commencement of interclub etc, selectors/managers from all clubs shall meet along with the recorder to affirm the process of delivering results complete, correct, and timely to her. Text, email or drop into Bowls Southland Letterbox

It is anticipated that results will be published/available on a weekly basis. It is the responsibility of the managers of each match to ensure the results are forwarded to Mrs Calder
