Upcoming courses for parents/coaches 2023

Training Sessions for year 5-8 coaches

Who: Maria Hegarty from Netball Wellington will be running Future Ferns Training sessions for parent/coaches of Year 5--8. This free of charge and available to any parent interested in helping out (no netball experience required).

When: Saturday 22 April

1.30 -3.30pm - 5.30pm - Year 5-8 coaches

Where: Kelburn Normal School Hall, 16 Kowhai Road, Kelburn.

Player Development Programme (PDP)

Who: All Year 7-8 players are encouraged to participate in PDP - it's a great opportunity to develop netball skills with students from other schools and is open to all who register.

If any adults are keen to help coach at the PDP please get in touch.

When: PDP involves three training days and one festival/game day.

Training day: 23 April
Training day: 30 April
Training day: 7 May
Festival/Game day: 14 May

Kiwi Whistlers

Who: Kiwi Whistlers is for Year 8 students who'd like to learn to umpire. Parents/mentors are required to attend with their Kiwi Whistlers for every session to be able to learn alongside their players and support them during games. Mentors will shadow and support their Kiwi Whistlers at their games.

When: Training starts on 22 Feb March.

How: Email [email protected] if you have a Year 8 student who is interested in taking part.
