Kilbirnie School

Whāia te iti kahurangi

I’m Tony Austin. It's an honour for me to work as the principal or tumuaki of our school; I absolutely love my job, out school and all the people involved with our work.  I am very proud of the work we do at Kilbirnie School; tamariki are central to all that we do.  We work very hard to ensure our students become skilled in literacy and numeracy. We are also proactive and innovative in developing and delivering programmes that target the skills we believe our students will need to be successful in an unpredictable future. We offer our students a wide range of opportunities both in and outside the classroom. At Kilbirnie School we like to think about ability and achievement in a broad sense. All students have strengths and areas to develop. The Kilbirnie School graduate profile was developed following consultation with students, parents, whanau and staff details our aspirations for Kilbirnie School students. Look out for this posted around the school.

We reckon Kilbirnie School is a neat place to be!  We believe students should look forward to coming to school and we strive to create an environment that promotes this. We know the value of connecting with our school whanau and we work hard to position the kura as a key place within the local community.

If you would like to contact me for any reason, email me at [email protected] or phone me on (04) 939 2311. I am always eager to talk about the work of our school.
