The Complete Player 2023/4

(Girls in Years 5-9)

The Complete Player is a very unique program run by Pioneer targeting hine in Pioneers community.

The aim of TCP is to provide a safe and challenging space for young female players to develop their haoura. The theme for the 2023/4 season is 'wahine toa: strength in toughness'. Activities and events will be planned with the intention to show our participants that 'being tough' can be a great thing! Participants mental, emotional and physical toughness will be challenged. 

The skills learnt and developed in the TCP can then be transfered onto the basketball court, sports fields and into the classroom.

The 'NEXT STEP' : A pilot program

This season we are piloting a new leadership program, Kotiro in years 10-13 will be asked to apply for a possition as a leader in the TCP program. Our leaders will have the opportunity to plan, develop and run activities and events. 

With support from Pioneer staff members and senior coaches the leaders will gain skills of communication, planning, leadership/delivery, adaptability and many more!

Registrations close on Friday the 15th of September. A maximum of 10 leaders will be selected based off applications, registering will not guarantee you a space in the program.
