Wakatipu Pony Club has 6 riders competing in the COPC Springston Trophy 2023 which is being held in Cromwell.

Wakatipu team is made up of, Juniors - Alma Taylor Wright & Zara Hazeldine, Intermediate - Heidi Green & Kendra van Leeuwen, Senior - Abigail White

Composite team from Wakatipu,/Hawea Wanaka/South Otago is made up of, Juniors - Libby Smith (Wakatipu) & Briana Joyce (Hawea Wanaka), Intermediate - Aimee Johnston (South Otago), Senior, Chloe McKenzie (South Otago).

After day 1 (Dressage), Wakatipu is sitting in 5th place and Wakatipu/Hawea Wanaka/South Otago Composite is sitting in 14th place.

Day 2 (cross country), wonderful riding out there on a tricky cross country course.  Wakatipu/Hawea Wanaka/South Otago Composite is sitting in 6th place and Wakatipu is sitting in 12th place.

Last day (Show Jumping), at the completion of the Show Jumping Wakatipu finished 11th, a fantastic achievement. 

Sadly the Wakatipu/Hawea Wanaka/South Otago team had a pony withdrawn from the Show Jumping phase due to lameness, but the rest of the team completed the show jumping on their live scores.

We are all very proud of how well you all did over the weekend.   Well done!
