Waiheke Gymnastics Club information on Rules and conditions of membership.

Waiheke Gymnastics is a not for profit organisation - it requires member participation and support to run successfully. All members' parents must participate in helping with (minimum one) the clubs fundraising events every year.

Term Fees must be paid within 2 weeks of the term beginning (or an arrangement made by this date) to secure your childs place in their class, otherwise their place may other be forfeited.

Parents and caregivers must help with either the setting out or packing down of equipment. The more people that help mean gymnasts get more time on the equipment.

Appropriate clothing must be worn as the gymnasts are doing physical activity and using equipment. Incorrect clothing can cause injury to persons and damage to equipment. If the coach thinks there may be some risk the gymnast will be sat out. Please check class information for correct attire.

All hair must be off the face, long hair must be tied up. Note that gymnasts will often roll on head and pigtails must be the best option.

Gymnasts waiting for their next class must wait quiety, talking and running around can distract gymnasts trying to complete their season.
Please keep all siblings off the equipment at all times. No one should be on any equipment without a coach present as it is a danger.

The coaches role is to teach your child therefore we will not accept any bad behaviour during class. If required coaches will remove a child from class for a period of time and then if behaviour is repeated parents will be informed and it may result in child being stood down or removed from from club.

Please be aware that coaches often help gymnasts by touching them, this helps them to understand where their body is and keeps them safe from falling. If you have any concerns about this please let us know.

Photos and Video may may be taken for promotional purposes, (local papers, facebook, website etc) please let us know if you do not give consent for this to happen.
