Central Development Leagues

2025 sees the launch of the Central Development Leagues for U13 and U15 boys as well as U13 and U14 girls. 

These are going to be the replacement for the Central Federation Talent Centre programme which has previously seen the most talented local players representing the region after a trial process.

Each year our Palmerston North United CDL squads will be selected from players registered for the Academy during term 1. 

Players who do not make those squads will still be able to take part in the Academy training programme throughout the year and also be involved with various game days and tournaments through the season.  

Players not involved in the CDL squads will play their team/club football at the local schools/clubs they are affiliated with as usual.  CDL players will still be able to play for their school's top representative teams.
