To ensure that all registered senior rugby players, coaches and team managers of the Upper Hutt Rams RFC fully understand the expected standards of behavior, and to make it clear that any breaches of these codes will result in disciplinary action.

PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Respect the rights, dignity, and worth of all individuals, regardless of gender, ability, cultural background, or religion.

• Play by the rules and show respect for the referees' decisions.

• Always demonstrate good sporting conduct.

• Refrain from using offensive language, engaging in sledging, or bullying any individual.

• Act as a role model both on and off the field.

• Cooperate with your coach and teammates.

• Adhere to club policies, including those related to smoke-free areas and liquor license regulations.

• Never engage in behavior that could harm the club's reputation, whether on or off the field.

• Use social media responsibly and avoid posting offensive or derogatory content that could bring the club into  disrepute.    

COACH / MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Respect the rights, dignity, and worth of all individuals, regardless of gender, ability, cultural background, or religion.

• Support, encourage, and involve all players, regardless of their skill level.

• Never ridicule or yell at players for mistakes or poor performance.

• Prioritize the wellbeing and safety of participants above performance outcomes.

• Guide players to take responsibility for their own performance and behavior both on and off the field.

• Ensure all activities are suitable for the age, ability, and experience of the players.

• Promote the positive aspects of the sport, such as fair play.

• Always respect officials' decisions and support them in carrying out their role.

• Follow all guidelines set by the national governing body and the Club.

• Refrain from using offensive language or behavior.

I have read and agree to the Upper Hutt Rams Code of Conduct. I understand that any violation of these codes may result in disciplinary action, as determined by the Upper Hutt Rams RFC committee.
