Our instructors pride themselves on currency and are frequently upskilling to ensure we are fresh and current in our coaching and instructing methods.


Ginni Thurston

Australian trained Ginni is based in South Wairarapa, the Thurston family were active members of WPC, with both of Ginni's boys keen riders. Ginni has a passion for Mounted Games which provides members a great opportunity to train and compete to high levels across NZ and even Internationally. Ginni is also a C+/B Certificate Examiner.


Margaret Robinson 

Marg brings a wealth of experience to the team. She trains, judges and competes in Dressage.  Margs focus on dressage is a huge asset to the Club. Marg has taught riders both here and overseas. In Malaysia she ran two yards and trained the Junior FEI show jumping team, as well as competing herself. She won the World Cup Asian Division in 2003 and came 2nd overall. She also managed yards and Pony clubs in Jordan and the UK. 


Anna Stephen

Anna is a full time equestrian, originally from Martinborough, and now residing in Carterton where she runs Otawa Equestrian. After graduating through the NZ Pony Club system, and competing at Pony Club Champs etc, she specialised in Show Jumping once moving on to horses. Here she has ridden to the top level in NZ, and has produced 8 horses through to Grand Prix. 3 of which have gone on to compete at Premier League/World Cup Level. Alongside winning many National and Horse of the Year titles, she has also represented NZ overseas and had training articles featured in Show Circuit Magazine.​​​​​​​
