and a great place to catch up with friends, or creating new ones.
SUNDAY FAMILY BOWLS -
Starting at 2 pm, afternoon bowls, with children welcome.
Come along to our beautiful park and wonderful setting and enjoy taking part in Sunday bowls with the local community. Cards will be played if rainimg.

Our first Tournament this year was on 8th October at starting at 9am Sponsor is Bunnings (Paeroa). A Full field of 16 teams. Winning team from Waihi Beach RSA wereTerry Bradshaw. Terry Scelly, Julie Scelly R/up From Hauraki were Jim Darragh, Frank Finlay, Mike Handcock.
Our second tournament 29th October starting at 9am Sponsor was the Club , a full green of 16 teams, played under difficult condition with rain interupting twice but we got all 4 games played. Winning team from Hikutaia was Ralph Bax, Alison Honeyfield, Bev Sharp. R/Up from Hauraki Jim Darragh, Mike Hitchcock, Frank Finlay
Our tournament Valley Chainsaws & Mowers Opt Triples 10th December with a full green 16 teams won by a Hauraki team Jim Darragh R/up Kerepehi Graham Pike's team
Our tourament Gray Brothers Opt Triples 17th January 2019 12 teams.Winning team from Kerepehi BC Graeme Pike,E Crossland, W Sveistrup R/p from Hikutaia was Barry Dunlop, Charlie Gray,Sheryl Waterman.

The other BIG tournament we are having in 29-30th Decmber Hikutaia Mens Open Fours $2,000 prize money entry fee $200 per team .Morning tea-Lunch-Afternoon tea both days. This tournament was agreat success with 12 teams .
Winning team from Hinurea with Gerard Slattery, Colin Demler, Graeme Heward and Bob McKenzie, 2nd placed team from Thames Coast with Warren Olliff skip, 3rd Place team was Mike Cavanagh from Pukekohe and 4th place went to Chris Bull from Pukekohe.
The 1st Day winners were Allan Peers team from Thames.
The clubs main sponsor was Corbett house who donated a night ,the money raised from a Raffle bought in more than $2,000 !! Winning ticket was won by Steve Hayward from Hikutaia
CLUB NEWS.
Secretary Frank Bax received a QSM in the New Years Honors From the Queen.Queen Service medal for services to lawn bowls and the Community.
Our Club green keeper Glen Gregory is now fully qualified with his Growsafe and Growsafe Certified Handlers certificate , big thank you to First Sovereign Trust.
Club received a donation from One Foundation Ltd to pay our Green keeper for December-January.
NOW the Club is going forward and will not have to close, Afternoon bowling has bought in 9 new paid up members and 22 people at our last sunday.
