This season Auckland Central Districts Cricket is placing emphasis on providing quality coaching to more players and therefore, we have decided to create a fantastic new initiative to enhance our existing programme the ‘Central Development Academy’.

About the academies

• Central Winter Academy (18-20 players) – Sunday Training
• Central Development Academy (10-12 players) – Monday Night Training

The purpose of the new Central Development Academy initiative:

• Develop a broader base of potential premier grade players which will enhance both Cornwall & Ellerslie Cricket Clubs.
• Engaging this group of players is part of our strategy to retain club players through until year 13 by offering specialist coaching courses to player identified as having ‘potential to play Premier grade cricket’.
• The Auckland Central Districts academies programme will provide an equal opportunity for all Central Winter academy and all Central Development academy players to partake in a fair trial for the Auckland Central Districts Tournament team. 
• The trials will be in October 2017 at the conclusion of the Central Academies.
