SOUTH ISLAND TROPHY 2026

There will be some awesome trophies up for grabs at inaugural BEARS South Island Trophy Series.

The series includes classes for BEARS F1, BEARS F2, BEARS F3 and Superstock Open.

Round one:  Was held in perfect conditions at Euromarque Motorsport Park in Christchurch.

22 BEARS riders fronted up and provided great entertainment with many close battles through out field.​​​​​​​

Round two:  Burt Munro Challenge meeting at Teretonga in Invercargill

This is one of New Zealand's premier motorcycle events and a must for racers of British, European, American motorbikes. Held every year on the last weekend of February this event has been running since 1983 at Ruapuna, Christchurch also known as the Euromarque Motorsport Park.​

The meeting is always a lot of fun, with in-excess of 130 riders and 300 race class entries. Many racers set up their camps in the pit area and reside there for the weekend.

The theme this year is MotoEuro with a bike show, parade laps, Britten bike V1000 and the MotoEuro GP. Plus all the best in British, European and American motorbike racing.

2026 Event Schedule:

  • Friday 20 February - Official practice and qualifying in the afternoon.

  • Saturday 21 February 9.10am - Racing rounds including the Conti Cup.

  • Sunday 22 February 9.10am - Racing rounds including MotoEuro GP and Flying Farewell Invitational.
